The British Assistive Technology Association (BATA) is a not-for-profit organisation of members operating directly within the UK AT sector. Our mission is to unite voices for AT progress so that we can collectively empower and improve the lives of individuals with disabilities and advance the development and implementation of AT in the UK. 

We do this in a number of ways, including building awareness of what assistive technology (both free and purchased) is currently available, highlighting the challenges to get access to the most appropriate AT, and advocating for policy change to better represent our communities of disabled people, neurodivergent individuals, and our older generations who rely on assistive technology to maintain independent lives.
